For underprivileged and single-parent children, a school bag is more than just notebooks and stationery—it is the key to dignity, confidence, and the chance to continue education. Nanhi Pari Foundation’s School Bag Campaign ensures that children from slums and rural areas don’t have to drop out simply because they lack basic school supplies. With your support, we can equip thousands of children with school bags and kits, giving them the opportunity to learn, grow, and unlock their true potential.
In slums and rural parts of India, children often walk into classrooms without notebooks, pens, or even a bag to carry their books. Many end up borrowing supplies or missing school altogether. For girls, the situation is worse, with only 31% of rural girls getting access to proper education.
A school bag is more than stationery—it is pride, motivation, and a symbol of belonging. For a child from an underprivileged background, receiving a proper kit means they no longer feel left out and can attend school with dignity and confidence.
Through our Pink Bag Movement, Nanhi Pari Foundation distributes school bags and kits to underprivileged children, especially girls in rural Maharashtra. We also use these drives to spread awareness among parents about the importance of educating daughters.
Each School Kit costs ₹610, which includes a school bag, 6 notebooks, a geometry box, pen & pencil set, exam pad, water bottle, and a drawing kit. By sponsoring one or more kits, you ensure that no child misses school for want of basic supplies.
“Sponsor a school bag today—because a simple gift of learning tools can open the door to a child’s brighter tomorrow.”
We will share recent updates and progress of this campaign here. Stay tuned for the latest developments and success stories.
