Medical Case Overview
Twin Babies of Mrs. Snehal Tushar, 10-day-old female twins, have been diagnosed with Extreme Preterm condition along with low birth weight and are currently admitted at Sai Sparsh Children’s Hospital, Kolhapur. Medical experts have confirmed that both babies require urgent NICU care and continuous medical support to stabilize their condition and prevent life-threatening complications.
Family Details
The twins belong to a financially vulnerable family. Their father, Mr. Tushar Kate, works in the private sector and is the sole earning member of the household with a monthly income of approximately ₹15,000. Their mother, Mrs. Snehal Kate, is a homemaker. The sudden premature delivery of twin babies has placed immense financial pressure on the family. With limited income and no savings, arranging funds for prolonged NICU treatment has become extremely difficult, leaving the family in severe emotional and financial distress.
Medical Recommendation & Estimated Cost
Doctors at Sai Sparsh Children’s Hospital have advised immediate and continuous NICU care for both newborns under the supervision of Dr. Vijay Gavade. Due to their critical condition and extremely low birth weight, both babies require at least one month of intensive neonatal care.
As per the hospital’s medical estimate, the total cost of treatment is approximately ₹5,50,000, which includes:
NICU hospitalization charges
IV antibiotics and IV fluids
CPAP (respiratory support)
Surfactant therapy
Phototherapy treatment
Continuous monitoring and specialized neonatal care
