Baby Umme Banin, a 7-month-old little fighter, was admitted to KIMS Manavata Hospital, Nashik after being diagnosed with a congenital heart defect (PDA – Patent Ductus Arteriosus). Her tiny heart needed urgent medical intervention to survive and function normally.
On 22nd December 2025, Baby Umme successfully underwent a PDA device closure procedure using a 6×4 mm Amplatzer device. The surgery marked a crucial turning point in her journey toward recovery and a healthier future.
Following the procedure, she was kept under close observation in the PICU, where every heartbeat and response was carefully monitored by the medical team. This phase was critical, requiring constant care, monitoring, and expert supervision.
Post-procedure, Baby Umme Banin remained under strict medical supervision. Her 2D ECHO confirmed that the device is well positioned, with no residual shunt and normal heart function. She remained hemodynamically stable, maintained a normal heart rhythm, and began feeding well, showing encouraging signs of recovery.
We are happy to share that Baby Umme Banin has now been successfully DISCHARGED in stable condition. She has been advised regular follow-up with the cardiology team to ensure continued progress and long-term heart health.
A heartfelt thank you to all our kind donors and supporters. Your generosity made this life-saving treatment possible and gave Baby Umme Banin a second chance at life. Your continued support truly changes lives and brings hope to families in their darkest moments.
This recovery marks an important milestone in Baby Umme Banin’s journey. From a fragile beginning to a moment of stability, every step forward has been the result of timely medical care, expert intervention, and unwavering support from compassionate individuals who stood by her when it mattered most.
The days following the procedure were crucial, requiring careful observation and consistent monitoring to ensure her heart adapted well to the device closure. With each passing day, her strength improved, bringing visible relief and renewed hope to her family, who had endured weeks of uncertainty and emotional strain.
For her parents, this discharge is more than a medical update—it is a moment of gratitude and reassurance. After facing overwhelming fear and financial stress, they now look toward the future with hope, knowing their child has been given a chance to grow, thrive, and live a healthier life.
Because of your support, a fragile newborn now has a future.
At Nanhi Pari Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the chance to grow, smile, and dream and Baby of Vaishali Vichare’s journey is a powerful reminder that together, we can create miracles.
