How you can help
A small contribution from you can bring warmth, comfort and dignity to someone struggling to survive the cold. A donation of just Rs. 200 can provide one blanket and make a great difference to someoneâs life this winter. Please come forward and support this campaign so that together we can create a real impact in society and ensure no one has to sleep in the cold without protection. Every year, more than hundreds of people lose their lives in winter simply because they lack basic.
Rough winter, tougher nights
Roughly half of the poor spend their winters out on the streets without blankets or woollen clothes, and along with finding food, they have to battle for their lives throughout the night in the biting cold.
Why this drive matters
Winter is coming fast and many of us will soon be inside our homes under warm blankets. But thousands of people, especially small children, women and older persons, will spend their nights on the roadside in extremely chilly weather with very few clothes on their bodies.
Our initiative
This winter, Nanhi Pari Foundation is stepping up to support underprivileged and needy people who are forced to sleep in the open. As a gesture of kindness and responsibility towards society, we have decided to run a blanket distribution drive for those who have nothing to cover themselves.
- Location: Mumbai & Jharkhand
- Target: Distribute at least 1000 blankets
- Cost per blanket: Rs. 200/-
Every blanket saves a life
Many families living on pavements, in slums and temporary shelters stay awake through freezing nights because they have nothing warm to wrap around themselves.Â
