The baby’s fever has now subsided. Doctors have verbally indicated that the surgery may be rescheduled around 6th January 2026. However, before confirming the date, the medical team will first examine Baby Ishita and complete the necessary preliminary procedures.

The surgery that was earlier scheduled for 6th January 2026 has now been postponed to 10th January 2026.
As advised by the doctors, Baby Ishita will be admitted on 7th January 2026 for medical evaluation and to complete all necessary pre-surgery preparations.
Further updates will be shared once the doctors review her condition and confirm the next steps.

Update 16 January 2026
Baby Ishita, an 8-month-old infant, was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect — Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) with inlet extension and Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). After careful evaluation, doctors advised planned open-heart surgery, which was successfully performed on 11 January 2026. During the surgery, the VSD was closed using a Dacron patch, and the PDA was surgically ligated. The procedure went as planned, and Baby Ishita was safely shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a stable condition following surgery. Post-surgery, Baby Ishita’s recovery has been stable and encouraging. She remains under close medical monitoring to ensure smooth healing and to prevent any complications. The medical team is closely observing her progress and providing all necessary post-operative care.
