Wayanad Cries For Help

A series of  massive landslides struck Wayanad district in Kerala, India, on July 30, 2024. The disaster results in a devastating loss of life, with the death toll exceeding 150 people. Hundreds more were injured, and rescue operations are ongoing. The landslides were triggered by heavy rainfall in the region, with some areas receiving over 500mm of rainfall in just 48 hours. The hilly terrain of Wayanad made the region particularly vulnerable to landslides.

Your Donations will be used for:

Devastating floods have struck several parts of India, impacting over 30 lakh people and leaving thousands of families in Kerala, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Maharashtra in desperate need of help. Homes have been destroyed, communities submerged, lives and livelihoods lost. The situation is dire, and immediate relief is crucial.

Wayanad Cries for Help

The landslides caused widespread destruction, burying entire houses and cutting off access to affected areas. Rescue teams, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), have been working tirelessly to reach survivors and recover bodies from the debris. Floods have compounded the destruction, leaving communities in turmoil. The scenes of devastation and the heart-wrenching loss of lives are difficult to comprehend.

Elders became helpless while children became vulnerable to flood

In these challenging times, the resilience of the affected communities and government support is truly remarkable, but they need our support to rebuild and recover. Many families are facing severe survival challenges, lacking basic necessities and emergency supplies. This is where we can make a significant difference by providing immediate relief and support to those impacted by Floods in Wayanad, Kerala.
