This Navratri, Earn The Blessings Of Maa Durga By Helping Kanya’s Of Slums.
Jai Mata Di!
On the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja, when we pay our respects to the powerful Maa Durga, join hands with Nanhi Pari Foundation and make a real difference in the lives of countless young girls. Even in this day and age, they have been abandoned because of their gender. They deserve respect and dignity. It is time we stand beside these girls and help them fulfill their dreams.
Navratri is here! One of the most prestigious festival of Indian culture which celebrates the victory of good over evil by goddess Durga. People celebrate it worshipping nine goddesses during nine days, fasting, stage decorations, recital of the legend, enacting of the story, and chanting of the scriptures of Hinduism.
These nine days are solely dedicated to Durga and her nine avatars – the Nava Durga. Each day is associated to an incarnation of the goddess.
Kanya Puja, a custom to wash and clean the feet of nine young girls as a mark of respect for the Goddess and offer food and new clothes as gifts by the devotee. As a part of Devi worship to recognize the feminine power vested in the girl child.
