Usha finally gave birth to a baby a few weeks ago. But before she could even wake up and see the child, the baby was taken away. Usha woke up to an empty baby crib with no energy to cry. And three days later, when she finally saw her baby for the first time, crying was all she could do. Born extremely premature, this baby is fighting death all by himself in the NICU.
“When I become pregnant, we become overjoyed and build castles in the air. when I went all the way to the 7th month, we couldn’t believe our luck. But I delivered. Two months before my due date. And today, my baby is struggling to survive,” – Usha, mother, breaks down
With underdeveloped organs and severe respiratory disorder, the baby is fighting for his life in the NICU
Admitted in the NICU soon after his birth, the baby was diagnosed with respiratory distress syndrome and septicemia, among other complications. If left untreated, the complications can be fatal.

“He was so frail when I first saw him. I never thought that would be my first memory of them. He was in the incubator, unable to breathe on him own, with tubes and wires running around him. After seeing him like this, my wife barely eats anymore. We just want to take him home.” – Ashok, father.
