APPEAL FOR “MRS. NILAM PRASHANT GUNJEKAR” WHOSE BABY IS BATTLING WITH PRETERM, LOW BIRTH WEIGHT & RESPIRATORY DISTRESS SYNDROME

Nilam Prashant Gunjekar is facing every parent’s worst nightmare. Her baby girl, born prematurely at 29 weeks and weighing just 1.160 kg, is fighting for her life. She has been diagnosed with Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) and is currently in the NICU at Sai Sparsh Children’s Hospital Kolhapur under the care of Dr. Amol Girwalkar relying on oxygen support to breathe. The doctors have informed the family that She will need at least 45-50 more days of NICU care.

The cost of this critical treatment is estimated at Rs.5,00,000/- (Five Lakhs), a staggering amount for Nilam and her husband Mr. Prashant Baban Gunjekar, who who is working in a private firm. His monthly income is only 15k. They are doing everything in their power to support their child, but the financial burden is overwhelming.
