Story: As Hitesh Choudhary paces up and down the hospital corridor, there’s only one thing on his mind – how will he face his wife? How does he tell her the most heartbreaking news she will ever hear?
“Hansa has already been through so much, I don’t know how I’m going to tell her something this devastating. When our child was taken to the NICU, she broke down. She has been scared and worried ever since. How do I tell her that only one of our child survived?” Hitesh says while breaking down.
When Hitesh and Hansa got married, their dream was to one day have children to complete their family. Last year, When Hansa found out she was pregnant, it felt like all their wishes were finally coming true. Happy and hopeful, this couple eagerly looked forward to the day their twins would be born.
“We always wanted one boy and one girl. We prayed for it throughout her pregnancy and kept checking how many more weeks were left for our child to come into this world. But one day during her early month, Hansa had to be rushed to the hospital because of pain in her stomach. That’s when the doctor told us that our baby will be born early.”
Even then the couple did not lose hope. However, when the child was born just like they dreamed – he was underweight and weak. He was just 900 grams at birth and both had to be rushed to the NICU even before the parents could hold him. But this was not the worst of it.
“When he was just 3 days old, we found out they are even having respiratory distress problem. Hansa is still recovering physically and mentally, and I’m mustering the courage to tell her what happened to our baby. Now our child is fighting to survive in the NICU, and while we deal with the grief of losing our child, we have to do our best for our child.”
Help This Couple Save Their Newborn Baby.
“Our baby is on oxygen support, and while his weight is slowly improving, they still has a long way to go. I don’t have the means to continue their treatment any longer. We’ve already exhausted with all savings. Please help me.” (Hitesh)
