Urgent Appeal to Save Baby of Ashwini Vaishnavkumar Som
We at Nanhi Pari Foundation are reaching out with an urgent plea to help save the life of a premature baby fighting for survival.
Baby of Mrs. Ashwini Som and Mr. Vaishnavkumar Som was born on 19th July 2025 at just 33 weeks of pregnancy with a very low birth weight of 940 grams. The newborn is currently admitted to Surya Hospital, Mumbai in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), battling respiratory distress syndrome and intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR).
The baby requires prolonged NICU stay, respiratory support, IV fluids, antibiotics, and specialized nutrition for at least 6 more weeks. The estimated cost of this life-saving treatment is approximately ₹10,50,000 (Ten Lakh Fifty Thousand Rupees).
The father, Mr. Vaishnavkumar Som, works in a call centre earning just ₹18,000 per month, and the family is unable to bear the immense financial burden.
