Age : 10 year old
Cause : Brain Tumor
“Why can’t I go to school like other girls? Why do I have to keep coming to the hospital?” Baby of Mangal Wagh has many questions for her parents, Ravindra and Mangal Wagh. As she spends most of her days in and out of the hospital, getting treatment in SRCC Children’s Hospital, the 10-year-old doesn’t understand why her life suddenly changed overnight.
Ravindra and Mangal will never forget that day when they were told their daughter has Vagal Nerve Stimulation (Brain Tumor), a life-threatening disease that requires urgent treatment.
“As soon as I heard the word Brain Tumor, I went blank. I couldn’t hear the other words the doctor was saying anymore. Everything around me was a blur. I can’t explain how shocked we both were. We couldn’t believe that our Baby who was playing and active just a few days ago, was now battling such a dangerous disease.” – Mangal Wagh, Mother
“We knew it would cost a lot of money, and we didn’t have much with us. I sold the little jewellery that I had and somehow managed to start her treatment. We are in debt now; she needs urgent surgery which costs approx. 9 lakh Rupees. After arranging approx 2 lakh Rupees, I don’t know how we’re going to afford more.” – Mangal Wagh
Ravindra is a small farmer and he is the only earning member is his family. What Ravindra earns is just not enough to continue his daughter’s treatment. She needs urgent surgery and they can only afford it with your support.
