Baby of Megha Rajeshwar Sose, just one month old, is currently fighting for survival in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Nimai’s Borneo Mother and Child Care Hospital, Nashik. From the very moment she was born, her life has been a continuous medical battle.
She was born extremely premature at 29 weeks and 1 day, weighing only 830 grams. Due to her fragile condition, she has remained in the NICU since birth, relying entirely on intensive medical care to stay alive.
A Fragile Beginning
- This tiny baby girl is suffering from multiple life-threatening neonatal complications, including:
- Extremely Low Birth Weight (ELBW)
- Severe Candidal Sepsis, a dangerous blood infection
- Severe Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS)
- Feeding intolerance and weight loss, with her weight dropping further to 790 grams
Her condition remains critical, and she requires round-the-clock monitoring, ventilator and respiratory support, intravenous medications, and specialized neonatal nutrition.
Medical Challenge Ahead
The treating medical team, led by Dr. Kedar Malwatkar, has advised a minimum 75-day intensive NICU care plan to stabilize the baby, control infections, support lung development, and help her gain weight safely.
The estimated cost for this prolonged life-saving treatment is ₹7,00,000.
For her parents, who are residents of Nashik, this amount is overwhelming and far beyond their financial capacity. Despite their best efforts, they cannot continue their daughter’s treatment without external support.
Why Your Help Is Urgently Needed
In neonatal care, every day matters. Any interruption in treatment could put this baby’s life at serious risk. Continued NICU care is the only way she can survive, grow stronger, and eventually go home for the first time. Your contribution will directly support:
- NICU charges and prolonged hospital stay
- Respiratory and oxygen support
- Critical medicines and antibiotics
- Infection management and nutritional care
- Continuous monitoring and diagnostics
